Caring For Your Jewellery 101

As all jewellery will tarnish with time once exposed to the elements in the environment, taking proper care of your jewellery keeps them gorgeous for a long time.

Fleurs Avenue’s designs are crafted using a variety of high-quality materials, including but not limited to Swarvoski crystals, Czech glass and Cubic Zirconia. Our metal pieces are usually in brass and/or stainless steel, plated with 14K-24K gold or silver or left raw unless otherwise stated. Sterling silver and gold filled materials are used in our premium collection.

Semi-precious stones, feathers and many other organic materials are frequently incorporated in our designs. Due to its natural source, slight inconsistencies of colour, size and texture are part of its unique characteristics. Exact materials associated with each design are stated on their product page.

If you like a design which is not made of 14k gold-filled or 9.25 sterling silver, please contact us for a custom order.

Caring for jewellery is similar yet different for each material. A handy tip would be to always put on your jewellery last before heading out and to remove them first when you get home.

Avoid contact with chemicals and moisture, such as perfume, hair products, lotions. Do not swim, shower or sleep with your jewellery on and remove your rings before washing your hands. Clean your jewellery pieces with a soft clean cloth after use to remove natural body oils, sweat or residue. To preserve the condition of your gorgeous pieces, it is recommended to store them in a dry place away from moisture (e.g. bathroom) in a jewellery bag or box.
